Ubisoft Massive has finally put a date on The Division 2's Echoes of Central Park DLC. The expansion arrives on Tuesday, November 3rd. None of this is exactly a shock. The pack was announced over the summer, and anyone following the looter shooter already knew the Big Apple was once again in trouble. What we didn't have until now was a release date and a clearer picture of what players will actually be doing when they get there.
The answer is surprisingly spooky.
Horror in the Park
Echoes of Central Park is built around a horror-themed story. That's not a phrase you'd usually attach to a series known for tactical cover shooting and loot numbers, but Ubisoft Massive seems keen to try something a little different this time. Players will head into Central Park and the Upper West Side to look into reports of a powerful new force. The developer describes it as both formidable and monstrous, which suggests this won't be just another faction of rifle-toting enemies.
It took the long way round, but IG secured the League of Legends Pro League's fourth and final ticket to Worlds 2026 on Saturday, 19 September. The LPL is China's top-flight League of Legends competition. IG beat JD Gaming 3-1 in the lower-bracket final of the LPL 2026 Regional Finals. That result books IG a place at the League of Legends World Championship alongside Anyone's Legend, Bilibili Gaming and Top Esports.
For JDG, it's a painfully familiar ending. The loss closes the team's last route to qualification through the Regional Finals, and leaves it third in the event for the third year running. Three years, same step, same result. That has to sting.
Apex Legends has never been shy about borrowing from other worlds. Its latest guest, though, is a strange one for a shooter: a fighting game.
The Street Fighter 6 Crossover event is live today. It brings the fighting styles of well-known Street Fighter characters into Respawn's free-to-play battle royale. The original report names Chun-Li, Ryu, Akuma and Dhalsim among the headliners. That's a lineup built for recognition, and it reaches right back to the series' most familiar faces.
The pitch is simple. Take a game built on gunfights and cover, and let players throw hands instead.
RuneScape's monetization overhaul is moving into its next phase, and this one reaches straight into players' inventories.
Jagex started the process at the top of this year by ending Treasure Hunter, the game's lockbox system. Killing the lockboxes was the headline move. The harder job was always going to be dealing with everything they left behind. That leftover pile now has a date: Monday, November 23rd. On that day, a long list of item-by-item changes to microtransaction goods will go live.
Revise, Retain, Remove
Jagex is sorting the old Treasure Hunter stock with a three-part approach it calls "revise, retain, remove." Every currency, item and consumable that used to come out of those lockboxes will either be changed, kept as it is, or taken out of the game.
The League of Legends EMEA Championship (the LEC, Riot's top-flight league for Europe, the Middle East and Africa) is dropping the format for 2027 and returning to its familiar 10-team winter setup. Commissioner Artem Bykov confirmed the decision in an interview with Sheep Esports at the LEC 2026 Summer Finals in Nice, France, on September 19.
That makes the 2026 run the first and last edition of Versus. It's a quick exit for a format that, by several measures, did exactly what it was supposed to do.
