StarCraft II PTR Reverts Unpopular Economy Changes
StarCraft II rarely makes the news these days. Blizzard's real-time strategy game has spent years quietly ticking along, and for a title of its age that is no bad thing. A game that simply keeps working, keeps its community and doesn't cause a fuss can be a perfectly healthy one.
That calm ended in June. A patch that month changed some of the costs and quantities tied to the early-game economy, and a good part of the player base reacted badly. Now Blizzard is backing down. The latest build on the Public Test Realm (PTR), the separate server where Blizzard lets players try changes before they reach the live game, undoes most of what June introduced.
